The VELA Bariatric Patient Chair is being used in the Eye Services Department and currently for laser surgery. They also have a vision testing room next to the procedure room that can use it as well with their machines.

Beatrice, Practice Manager Eye Services, Plastic, Thoracic and Breast Surgery, says:

We’ve had patients with difficulty walking and some transferred from wheelchairs. It has been very helpful to get them to an almost standing position with the lift coming from the chair.

We have been using the bariatric chair and it works great. The provider and staff have adjusted with no issues.
