Foot-operated height adjustment
Foot-operated height adjustment is useful for adjusting the seat while keeping hands free. This feature is highly beneficial for maintaining sterility during treatment.
Saddle seat, small
Saddle seat, small is a smaller version of the saddle seat and is recommended for people who are slim or short.
Footrest ring
The footrest ring is adjustable in height and provides stability, support and comfort when sitting in a high seating position.
Note: Footrest ring is only available with a large frame (Ø 64.5 cm and Ø 70 cm)
Anti-static wheels
Anti-static wheels fitted to the chair prevent the build-up of static electricity. This is an advantage in certain work situations where it is important to counter static electricity.

Compound
Compound meets all cleaning requirements in the healthcare sector. Compound can be washed with spirits at concentrations of 70%–85% alcohol and withstands chlorine disinfection (disinfectant containing active chlorine at 1000–1200 ppm). At the same time, Compound provides a comfortable surface that does not get slippery or sweaty when sitting down for long-term work.

The padding is tested with regard to cold cracking down to -20°F corresponding to -28.8°C.
The padding does not contain heavy metals and complies with the ETAD standard.
Cleaning
Clean the fabric with warm water and neutral detergent using a soft cloth.
Disinfection is possible with various detergents such as surgical alcohol 70%–85% alcohol (i.e. 70%–85% ethanol) and chlorine disinfection (disinfectant containing active chlorine at 1000–1200 ppm). After cleaning or disinfecting, rinse repeatedly with cool, clean water and dry with a clean cloth.
NOTE:
Do not use solvent-based cleaners (such as turpentine).
Before cleaning, always test the cleaning agent/disinfectant on a less visible area first.

During surgery, I move around between several different instruments and locations. I need to be close to the microscope and ready to assist the eye doctor while also being close to the patient. The smooth-running wheels and the easy rotation make this possible without causing any unnecessary twisting in my back or shoulders.
My VELA Samba 400 provides a good working position and allows me to easily change the work height due to the foot-operated height adjustment.
During surgery, I switch a lot between sitting and standing. The small size of the chair means that it is not in the way when I’m not using it.
