The upholstery has been tested with regard to cold cracking down to -40 ° F, corresponding to -40 ° C, ISO 1876-1: 1998-01.

The padding is Oekotex labeled and surface resistant to blood and urine (EN 12720).

Cleaning

Clean the fabric with warm water and neutral detergent (use a soft cloth).

Disinfection is possible with many different cleaning agents, e.g. alcohol 75% ethanol, various wipes (read more here) and chlorine disinfection (disinfection containing active chlorine at 5000 ppm). After cleaning or disinfecting, rinse repeatedly with cool clean water and dry with a ragged, clean cloth.

When cleaning: Always test the detergent/disinfectant on a less visible area first.

NOTE:
Do not use hand sanitiser or solvent-based cleaning agents (such as turpentine).

EMC-test: The chair´s electrical functions are tested and approved in accordance with the latest demands regarding electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), both in terms of radiation and susceptibility, which means that the chair is completely safe to use with all types of electrical equipment, including pacemakers and cellphones.

IP21: The chair´s electrical functions are tested and approved in accordance with IEC 60529 and has an Ingress Protection (IP)21 degree of security, meaning that all components are waterproof and safe to use. This also means that all electronics are protected from waterdrops as well as touch.

Studies show there are several factors influencing the clinical image quality of mammography. These factors include breast placement, compression, optimal exposure, sharpness, noise, and contrast.[1]

With the mammography positioning chair from VELA Medical in your palette of mammography equipment, you can achieve the best conditions for breast placement and image sharpness: When the patient is fixed close to the machine and supported in a slight forward-facing position, you maximise the available breast area. Once you have achieved the optimal position, the wheels are locked so the position is maintained and the patient can relax. This results in sharper and more accurate images.[2]

Versatile chair for all mammography examinations

When you place patients in mammography chairs, they can remain seated throughout the entire examination. For CC images, the chair ensures that the patient can get very close to the machine and stay there, allowing high-quality images. Position the patient and lock the wheels to secure the position until the image is captured.

For MLO images, you’ll find that a VELA Mammography Chair eases the task: Fold one armrest down before you push the chair and patient towards the machine.
